Bird flu is suspected to be the cause of death for numerous geese found in multiple locations in southern new jersey, including gloucester county and pitman. The suspected outbreak has led to the closure of some parks and lakes to the public. Reports indicate that over 1,100 dead birds have been found in new jersey, while neighboring pennsylvania is also dealing with a large number of birds affected by the bird flu.
