Bruce Campbell has stated that the Evil Dead franchise has moved away from his character Ash and he has no plans to play Ash in any future Evil Dead movies. The franchise is reportedly taking a different direction, with a prequel titled Evil Dead Wrath in the works. Meanwhile, Campbell and Evil Dead creator Sam Raimi are involved in separate projects, with Campbell set to host a reboot of Ripley's Believe It Or Not! and Raimi working on various horror and thriller projects.
