German researchers have developed solar panels that mimic the appearance of roof tiles, such as terracotta, brick, or stone, while maintaining a high level of efficiency. The technology, which utilizes a colored film and laser-cutting, is reported to achieve 95% power efficiency, although the process of achieving this efficiency may come at a slight cost.
