A deep sea jellyfish with long tentacles has been spotted, with reports suggesting they can be up to 30 or 33 feet in length. The creature, referred to as a phantom jellyfish, was seen off the coast of Argentina, although one report also mentions a sighting off the coast of California. The sighting of this rare creature has drawn attention, but a separate report mentions the spotting of a giant squid in the Gulf of Mexico, which may or may not be related to the jellyfish sighting.
