Deep space small satellites are encountering significant challenges. Efforts are underway to develop innovative technologies, such as origami-inspired space antennas, to support these small spacecraft. Meanwhile, separate initiatives, including a challenge to source virtual reality technology for future mars mission research and a recently aborted launch, suggest a broader push to advance space exploration capabilities.
