Digital technologies and artificial intelligence are being explored for their potential to improve agricultural systems and climate resilience for smallholder farmers. However, there are also concerns that smallholder farmers may be left behind in the adoption of these technologies. Research and initiatives are underway to examine the role of AI and digital tools in strengthening plant health systems, improving food supply capacity, and promoting climate-smart farming.
