Researchers are exploring potential inhibitors against New Delhi metallo-β-lactamase-1, an enzyme that contributes to bacterial resistance, using in silico-based methods and natural compounds. Various studies are investigating different approaches, including the use of marine fungal metabolites, non-β-lactam compounds, and combinations of existing antibiotics with potential inhibitors. The effectiveness of these potential inhibitors, including compounds like morin and amifostine, is being examined through computer-aided screening, molecular docking, and in vitro testing.
