A humpback whale, reportedly young, was freed from fishing gear off the coast of Massachusetts. The rescue took place in an area that may be near Cape Cod, possibly in Stellwagen Bank, or alternatively off the North Shore. The whale was successfully disentangled from the fishing gear, with rescuers involved in the operation.
