Researchers have found that enantiomeric glycosylated cationic block co-beta-peptides are effective against Staphylococcus aureus biofilms and antibiotic-tolerant persisters. These peptides have been shown to eradicate such biofilms and persisters. The discovery may have implications for the treatment of infections caused by this type of bacteria.
