A lawsuit has been filed to block a Tennessee law that separates pharmacy benefit managers (PBMs) and pharmacies. The suit was brought by Express Scripts, which is owned by Cigna, and the Pharmaceutical Care Management Association (PCMA). The issue of PBMs and their relationship with pharmacies is also being discussed in other contexts, including a probe in Florida and expert opinions on breaking up PBMs.
