A federal judge has blocked bans on using SNAP benefits to purchase soda and candy in several states. The blocked bans were in place or planned in states including West Virginia, Tennessee, and possibly others, although Missouri's similar plan may still be implemented. The ruling affects restrictions imposed by the Trump administration in at least five states.
