Flood warnings have been lifted and evacuation orders rescinded in the Comox Valley as rainfall has eased. The area had been under a state of emergency due to flooding, but this has now been lifted by the Comox Valley Regional District. A separate incident, a residential fire in Burnaby, has resulted in a fatality, but its connection to the flooding, if any, is unclear.
