A tanker suspected of being part of russia's shadow fleet has been seized and then released by french authorities after its owner paid a fine. The amount of the fine is reported to be around €1 million or $1.1 million. The seizure occurred either in the north sea, where belgian and french forces were involved, or off sicily, where french commandos were reported to have taken action.
