A new update has been released for Mario Kart World, which includes the addition of Bob-omb Blast to Battle mode. The update also appears to introduce changes to the probability of items obtained from item boxes during races, as well as other gameplay fixes and item balance changes. The update is referred to as version 1.6.0 in some reports, and full patch notes are available.
