Research on cervical squamous cell carcinoma has found a high prevalence of HER2-low/ultralow expression and spatiotemporal heterogeneity across tumor evolution. The role of HER2 expression is being studied in various types of cancer, including cervical and esophageal cancer, with potential implications for treatment. The development of HER2-directed therapies, such as Enhertu, may offer new options for patients with HER2-positive solid tumors, although the relationship between HER2 expression and treatment outcomes in cervical cancer is still being explored.
