The covid-19 pandemic has highlighted a syndemic, or interconnected health crisis, involving hiv and food insecurity. This issue is being examined in the context of marginalized populations, including those in north africa. Research is exploring the social needs and health outcomes of people living with hiv, including hospital readmission rates, in order to inform an integrated approach to addressing these interconnected challenges.
