The stomach flu, also known as norovirus or the "winter vomiting disease", is a contagious illness. There are reports of an uptick in winter illnesses, including norovirus, and some outlets are providing information on symptoms, prevention, and how long the illness is contagious. However, it is unclear if the current reports are specifically related to norovirus or also include other stomach bugs, such as cyclospora or rotavirus.
