Earth Day is being celebrated in various ways across western Maine. Events and activities are being held, including a harborside cleanup and a festival, as well as institutional and student-led sustainability efforts at the University of Maine. It appears that some organizations are also promoting related activities, such as reading recommendations and spring programs, although not all of these may be directly tied to Earth Day celebrations.
