Hackers are reportedly using qr codes to carry out a new type of phishing attack, known as "quishing". These malicious qr codes, which may be embedded with links to steal sensitive information, are said to pose a security risk. The scope and targets of these attacks are unclear, with some reports suggesting involvement of north korean campaigns and others indicating targeting of chinese citizens, among possible other victims.
