Heart disease deaths have declined in the US, although the condition remains a leading cause of death. Other heart issues, however, are reportedly on the rise. The decline in heart disease fatalities accounts for a significant portion of deaths in the US, with estimates suggesting that heart disease and stroke combined cause around a quarter of all deaths.
