Research on vocal tract and respiratory inversion using physics-informed neural operators has been reported. This technology may have applications in various fields, including the synthesis of vocal sounds from ancient remains and the detection of respiratory conditions such as COPD through lung sound analysis. The approach also appears to be used to study the production of specific sounds, such as the sibilant [s], and the effects of tongue articulation and velopharyngeal closure.
