Police in Uttar Pradesh have rescued 12 workers from a factory where they were allegedly being held in bonded labour conditions. The rescued workers have reported being subjected to physical abuse and confinement. There are also suspicions of worker deaths at the factory, with at least one alleged torture death emerging after the rescue.
