Research on wound healing and tissue repair is ongoing, with studies exploring various factors that influence the process, including inflammatory cells, stem cells, and biomaterials. The dynamics of inflammatory cells, in particular, may play a role in controlling neovascularization and healing after localized radiation-induced injury. Different approaches, such as using platelet-rich plasma, peptides, and electrical stimulation, are being investigated to promote wound healing in various contexts.
