A new application of indocyanine green (icg) is being used in benign gynaecological surgery, aiming to improve safety and precision. The technique involves fluorescence-guided visualization, which has been applied in robotic gynecologic surgery. The approach has been used in a small number of cases, with one series reportedly involving five cases of bladder and ureter visualization.
