Researchers have made progress in identifying molecular quantum states. The use of phase-sensitive forces and techniques such as quantum-logic spectroscopy of single trapped molecular ions are being explored. Studies on motional Fock states and their application to amplitude and phase measurements with trapped ions are also being conducted.
