A newborn bison has been seen walking with its mother, and there is also interest in a rare white bison calf, although it is unclear if this calf is at Yellowstone or another location. The presence of baby animals at Yellowstone has also led to incidents, including one in which a visitor picked up a baby bison that was later put to death after its herd rejected it.
