The genders of Jackie and Shadow's chicks have been revealed as a boy and a girl. The chicks, who have been named Sandy and Luna, have been active, with one of them accidentally leaving the nest at some point and both venturing out of the nest. The mother, Jackie, had been recovering, possibly in the Ojai area, after an incident where another eagle, also named Luna, chased off a nest intruder.
