Jersey Water has narrowed down its options for treating per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (pfas) in water to two possibilities. The cost of a pfas treatment plant is estimated to be potentially high, with reports suggesting it could be up to £210m, although other estimates are lower. The funding for the treatment is uncertain, with discussions about potential water bill increases and investment programs underway.
