Personnel at Offutt Air Force Base have begun re-entering flooded buildings as part of efforts to restore readiness. The base was inundated by floodwaters, damaging buildings and closing the runway, but waters have started to recede from the flightline. Recovery and rebuild efforts are underway, with the goal of not only restoring the base but also potentially improving it.
