However, some studies have failed to detect helicobacter pylori in oral squamous cell carcinomas in certain patient cohorts. The relationship between helicobacter pylori and head and neck cancer is still being investigated, with other research focusing on the bacterium's behavior and the role of other microorganisms in the oropharynx.
