Dummy fuel has been loaded at the Akkuyu-1 nuclear plant in Turkey. The completion of this step and ongoing cold hydraulic tests suggest that the plant is progressing in its development. Reports also indicate that construction of the first unit of the plant may be complete, with final preparations underway.
