Scientists have created lab-grown xenobots with self-built nervous systems, which are capable of moving in unconventional ways. These biological robots, made from human cells, have been engineered to have primitive nervous systems and may be able to reproduce. The development of these living robots is reported to be a step towards creating autonomous self-organizing biological systems.
