A batch of earth-size planets has been found orbiting the star TRAPPIST-1, with some of these planets located in the habitable zone. The number of planets discovered is reported to be either seven or eight, with all being similar in size to earth. The discovery is considered significant for astronomers searching for potentially habitable planets and possibly life beyond earth.
