Lucid, a bay area electric vehicle maker, is cutting a portion of its workforce, with reports indicating the reduction is around 18% of its staff. The layoffs may exceed 1,000 jobs, as part of cost-cutting measures. The company is also eliminating certain top roles, including a chief operating officer position, as it undergoes a review under new leadership.
