Research on a mouse model of Alzheimer's disease suggests that modulation of the glymphatic system, potentially through visual circuit activation or light-based therapy, may alleviate memory impairment and apathy. Studies have explored various mechanisms, including the role of the glymphatic-meningeal lymphatic system and neural pathways, as well as the effects of different types of light stimulation. The findings indicate that non-invasive modulation of these systems may have therapeutic potential for Alzheimer's disease and related cognitive disorders.
