Marcus Stewart, a former football player, has lost the use of his arms due to motor neurone disease, but remains hopeful for a cure. A charity walk from Liverpool to Leeds was undertaken to support MND charities. The event and Stewart's condition have been reported in connection with several football clubs, including Bristol Rovers and Bristol City.
