Medicare coverage is available for transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS), a treatment for depression. TMS has shown promise in providing relief for treatment-resistant depression and may also be used to treat other conditions such as obsessive-compulsive disorder and schizophrenia. The treatment is being offered by various health providers and an at-home brain stimulation device has also been approved by the FDA.
