A galaxy similar to the milky way has been found existing early in the universe's history. The james webb space telescope has detected a barred spiral galaxy and evidence of large stars that may have formed giant black holes. The discovery has also revealed unusual cloud formations at the galaxy's center that may be related to a recent black hole explosion.
