A minimally invasive nephrectomy technique is being considered for polycystic kidney disease. The feasibility of this approach is being explored, with some research also focusing on robotic systems for partial nephrectomy in treating renal cancer. Additionally, various scoring systems and techniques, such as the hilum-first technique and segmental renal artery clamping, are being reviewed and assessed for laparoscopic partial nephrectomy procedures.
