An interstellar comet, referred to as 3I/ATLAS, has been captured in images by NASA missions as it passed by Mars. The comet has also made its closest approach to Earth, though it appears to have kept its distance, and has passed the Sun. Its current condition and future trajectory are being observed, with some reports indicating it may be breaking up.
