A new cancer treatment using ultrasound to destroy tumors is being introduced for NHS patients. The treatment is being used to target liver cancer, with Addenbrooke's hospital reportedly among the first in Europe to offer it to patients. The therapy may also have applications for other types of cancer, such as prostate cancer, although its use in these cases is still being studied.
