Research is being conducted on the role of forces in conveying contact pressure during dynamic tactile stimulation. Studies are examining the relationship between normal and tangential forces, as well as skin mechanics and friction conditions, in relation to tactile perception. The findings appear to be contributing to a greater understanding of haptic sensation and the development of tactile sensors.
