The navy has commissioned a new ship, the USS Richard M. McCool Jr., which is an amphibious transport dock. The commissioning ceremony took place at NAS Pensacola. The ship is reported to be the last San Antonio-class Flight I vessel and is named in honor of a Medal of Honor recipient.
