A flotilla of ships carrying activists and aid, reportedly bound for the Gaza Strip, has been intercepted. The interception, which occurred near Crete, resulted in the detention of around 175 activists from over 20 boats. The status of the flotilla and its intended destination is unclear, with some reports indicating it was attempting to breach a naval blockade of Gaza.
