The SMILE spacecraft has launched to study the northern lights and earth's magnetic field using X-ray vision. The mission aims to capture the first X-ray views of earth's magnetic shield, with the spacecraft expected to image the magnetic shield using X-ray vision. The launch is a result of cooperation between the European Space Agency and China, marking a new chapter in their space cooperation.
