A 5-year analysis of the PACE B study has been released, comparing stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT) to standard radiotherapy for localized prostate cancer. The results suggest that SBRT may improve patient quality of life, but its impact on disease control is less clear, with some reports indicating it does not offer an advantage in this regard. SBRT appears to be a viable treatment option for some prostate cancer patients, although its effects on certain side effects, such as late genitourinary toxicity, are still being evaluated.
