Southwest Airlines is expanding its routes in Florida, adding and expanding dozens of flights, following the shutdown of Spirit Airlines. Other airlines, including JetBlue and Allegiant Air, are also introducing new routes in the state to fill the gaps left by Spirit. The additions include new nonstop flights to destinations such as Orlando and Fort Lauderdale, as well as other parts of southwest Florida.
