A scoping review has been conducted on the sociocultural and structural determinants of black maternal mental health. The review is part of a broader discussion on racial disparities in maternal and infant health, with various studies and organizations examining the impact of structural racism and ethnoracial disparities on health outcomes. Efforts are being made to prioritize maternal mental health, reduce maternal morbidity and mortality, and enhance equity in maternal health, with some calling for policies and collaborative approaches to address these issues.
