The simulations have also examined the role of various factors, including depth-varying elastic properties and earthquake spatial slip correlation, in affecting tsunami potential energy and intensities. The studies have applied these findings to specific regions, such as the Calabrian Arc, using three-dimensional modelling of the subduction interface.
