Shingles rates appear to be increasing among both younger and older adults. There is evidence that certain factors, such as chronic conditions or recent covid infection, may contribute to a higher risk of shingles in younger adults. The relationship between shingles and other health issues, including dementia and eye problems, is also being explored.
